What semaglutide actually costs in August 2026
Semaglutide now sells through at least eight distinct cash routes at prices spanning more than tenfold. Almost no published comparison states which product a figure describes, whether it includes a required membership, or when it was captured — and all three change the number materially.

The dose is half the answer
Semaglutide titrates 0.25 → 0.5 → 1 → 1.7 → 2.4 mg, four weeks minimum at each step. That is sixteen weeks to a maintenance dose when nothing is repeated, and repeats are common because the gastrointestinal effects cluster in the days after each increase.
A programme quoting an entry price is describing about four weeks of a twelve-month course. Ten of your first twelve months are spent at or near maintenance. Price that, not the advertisement.
The membership question
Several programmes advertise a medication price and bill a mandatory platform fee separately. A $99 medication figure with a $79 membership is $178, and the difference is invisible in most published tables because they compare medication prices rather than totals.
